Teleclub

Age Concern Norfolk has been supporting older people's clubs and groups for 60 years and on 2nd April 2007 launched the Teleclub countywide. The Teleclub is a new concept in clubs where older people participate without having to leave their own homes.

The Teleclub is largely a telephone service that offers club style activities such as social chats, quizzes, discussions and produces a quarterly newsletter to entertain and involve members.

Club members all receive at least one telephone call a week and have the opportunity to call us and have a chat.  For those who are interested in learning more introductary IT training is available at local libraries.

We are also looking for volunteers to make social calls to Teleclub members with a view to improving the quality of life of some of the more isolated older people in Norfolk. Volunteers can make calls from their own home and will be reimbursed for the cost or alternatively they can make calls from Age Concern Norfolk’s  office in Old Catton, Norwich, so you can join in with our lively atmosphere.

If you would like to become a member or to find out more about becoming a Teleclub volunteer please contact Lucie Haylett on 01603 785261. We look forward to hearing from you.
