More Money In Your Pocket!
One of our tasks at Age Concern Norfolk is to put more money in your pocket each week by helping you claim the benefits you are rightly entitled to. The cost of living keeps going up all the time so it is important to claim everything that you are owed.
In the last twelve months Age Concern Norfolk’s advisers have helped almost 1,000 older people claim the extra money that they are entitled to. This amounts to well over one million pounds.
Some comments from people we have helped
“Thank you so much for helping to get me Attendance Allowance, it will help me so much. What would we do without people like you who care for the elderly.” This lady received higher rate attendance allowance, £62.25 per week plus back pay of £186.75.
“The help you gave my husband and I to enable us to receive the benefits was absolutely wonderful and we thank you all very much.” This couple received Pension Credit, Carers Allowance and Council Tax Benefit resulting in additional income of £52.29 per week and no Council Tax to pay.
“I would like to thank you for the helpful service I have received from Age Concern, regarding filling in the forms. I could not have managed this myself.” This gentleman now receives Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit, increasing his weekly income by £119.42 and he was awarded back payments amounting to a staggering £3,359.10!
