Herondale is situated in the market town of Acle, close to the Broads and Norfolk coast.

It is a single storey building with places for up to 34 residents and stands in its own grounds. There are single and twin bedded rooms, that allow us to cater for couples or close friends wishing to share. There is easy access for wheelchairs and the building is designed for comfort and convenience.

Quality Support
We encourage residents to have a positive and rewarding stay at Herondale by ensuring privacy, dignity independence, choice, rights and fulfilment are maintained.
With your help, we will draw up an individualised care plan, designed to suit your requirements. Whether you simply need a helping hand getting in and out of bed, or assistance using our specially equipped bathrooms, our trained staff are on hand 24 hours a day to provide you with the support you need.
Catering
Meals are served in the dining room and we offer a choice of menu. Meal times are flexible and all specialist dietary needs can be catered for.
We offer early morning tea or coffee, and drinks are served mid-morning and afternoon or at other times if requested.
Individual support is available for those who need assistance at mealtimes.
Visitors are welcome at any time and may be able to stay for lunch and/or tea, at a small cost and by prior arrangement.
Activities and Entertainment
An optional programme of entertainment, activities and excursions is organised throughout the year.
Our facilities include:
- "On-call" system in every room
- Trained staff on duty 24 hours per day

- Personal laundry is included in the fees
- Lounges with colour television and video
- A large quiet relaxing lounge
- A speparate lounge for those who wish to smoke

Bookings
Bookings are accepted through Norfolk Adult Social Services following assessment, or on a private basis directly with Herondale for any length of short stay, a single night or several weeks.
Relatives and Friends
Relatives and friends are encouraged to visit at any time and as often as they wish, but are asked to sign the visitor's book in reception. Well behaved pets may visit by arrangement.

How to find us
Travelling from Nowich on the A47, take the slip road into the centre of Acle. Take the left fork (past the Co-op) to T-junction. Turn right onto Bridewell Lane. Take first left, passing between the Methodist Church and the Library. Bear right and Herondale is facing you.
Travelling from Caister on the A1064, turn right into Old Road, Take a right turn into Bridewell Lane, passing Holburn Garage on your right. Turn right again - passing between the Methodist Church and the Library. Bear right and Herondale is facing you.
