Help with managing money

Money Matters helps people to manage their personal finances so they are able to remain independent for as long as possible.
Age UK Norfolk recruits and trains volunteers to support people in their own home or living in a Care Home. All Money Matters volunteers are vetted and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked.
Volunteers can assist with the day-to-day management of finances and help people to keep control of their money.
Many people find that money worries can become a burden. The demands of keeping up with paper work from banks, building societies, landlords, benefits claims and council taxes can become too much to cope with. A Money Matters volunteer could help make dealing with finances easier to cope with.
It is up to each individual to decide how much assistance they would like. If a Money Matters volunteer cannot help with something, they will always try to find someone else you can.
All Money Matters' clients are referred via Social Services. If you are an older person or disabled or have a sensory impairment and find managing your affairs increasingly difficult, Age UK Norfolk may be able to arrange for a Money Matters volunteer to visit you.
Can you spare a few hours a week to volunteer for Money Matters?
