The Norfolk Council on Ageing Welcomes 20 New Organisations into Membership

News Item

Twenty additional organisations joined membership of the Norfolk Council on Ageing on 01 October 2009.

The expansion comes after a review of the membership of the Norfolk Council on Ageing which has taken place over the last year and means that 47 organisations from across Norfolk are now members.

Hilary MacDonald, Chief Executive of Age Concern Norfolk, said, "We are delighted that 20 additional organisations from across Norfolk have accepted our invitation to join the Norfolk Council on Ageing.  The new membership brings older people together with organisations working with and for older people.  This opens up enormous potential for us to work together to develop genuine opportunities for older people to influence local and national policy decisions that affect their lives that go far wider than our current individual constituent networks."
