Age Concern Norfolk launches social enterprise and unveils new promotional video featuring Helen McDermott

News Item

Age Concern Norfolk is kick-starting the New Year with the launch of its first social enterprise, a Home Domestic Service which will be made available to older people across Norfolk.

Initially the service, which offers a fixed-price domestic cleaning service plus additional support services, is being piloted to Age Concern Norfolk's sheltered housing tenants at Grays Fair Court, the £5 million state-of-the-art resource centre for older people in New Costessey.

The pilot begins from Monday 25th January 2010 and plans to roll out the service to all older people in Norfolk are currently being developed. The basic principle is to offer an "every time home support service", a reliable, comprehensive domestic cleaning service carried out by staff appointed by Age Concern Norfolk. All staff will carry an identity card and quality standards will be closely monitored.
