Age UKs in Norfolk celebrated the launch of their new brand in a rather unique way, with the creation of a giant ‘Human Life Loop′ outside one of Norwich′s most iconic buildings.
Over 100 people – including local television and radio presenter Helen McDermott, who compered the event – gathered outside the glass-fronted Forum building in Norwich on Tuesday 13 July, donning pink, blue, green and orange t-shirts and joining hands to form the symbol of the Age UK logo.
Members of the Human Life Loop included staff and volunteers from Age UK Norfolk, Age UK Norwich and Age UK North Norfolk, as well as partner organisations, representatives from local businesses, supporters and members of the public. Even the Lord Mayor and Sheriff of Norwich were roped in to wearing co-ordinating t-shirts, accessorised by their ceremonial chains!
Gemma Pendleton, Publicity and Marketing Officer at Age UK Norfolk, commented: “The Human Life Loop event seems to have captured the imagination of our local community – we are delighted that so many people took part to help us launch Age UK in Norfolk. Coming up with such a novel idea has also helped us secure widespread media coverage – both in the press and on local radio. Getting this level of local support right at the beginning of our new brand launch is fantastic, as we can build on its success to promote our new brand identity across the county”.
